We would just like to thank you for the home that we have found for our parents. My sister and I did a lot of research and visited other retirement communities. When we came to visit yours it truly felt like home! People are so wonderful, kind and I feel like the Lord is walking the halls. My husband and I and my sister and her husband are at such peace knowing that there is always someone there with a helping hand when Mom and Dad need it. There are so many services that you offer I cannot think of a thing that you do not have to make the highest quality of life that can be given as people age. God Bless each person that works in this retirement community as they are truly a blessing to our family.

I will never be able to thank you all enough for the kindness, thoughtfulness and grace that you have shown my mom and dad and our family. After “living” at WLRC for the past 3 weeks I have a pretty good understanding of why so many people speak so highly of this most comforting “home away from home.” You have been so kind to 2 generations of our family and it will never be forgotten.

I was so ill when I came here 8 years ago and now I’m well and happy. God seems to know just what we need when we need it. I so appreciate the whole staff here. My nephew, Dennis, insisted I come here and I am so thankful that I did and that my sister, Pearl, and I can be together. Thank you for caring so much.

In reflecting about what makes Willamette Lutheran different from other retirement communities…in my opinion it’s the attitude of the administration. They’ve embodied the loving and caring attitude that one feels when living and visiting Willamette Lutheran. They’ve set the tone and live it, and that’s passed down to all employees. I feel comforted to know that my mom is living in a retirement community where everyone is valued and respected. God bless all of you in the work you do at WLRC.

Thank you for making dad’s stay with you so enjoyable! He settled right in from almost the first day he moved in and it truly became home to him. You have a very unique place there and the staff are so attentive, considerate and concerned about each one of the residents. We truly appreciated your T.L.C. to our loved one. God Bless you all!

I truly appreciate each of the staff at Willamette Lutheran. From the very beginning 8 years ago, the staff have been here for me. You made my first year as a resident an easy transition from struggling to live alone to a comfortable, pleasant community style of living, which I love. Thank you.

Just a little note to let all the people who work at Willamette Lutheran Retirement Community know how much Carl & I appreciated all the love and care that was shown to Margaret and Allen (Big Al) McRae while residing at your beautiful community. A special “thank you” to Craig Schreiter for his expert knowledge and guidance when had to make hard decisions. Everyone at the Grace Center showed so much gentleness, kindness and love. We pray God’s blessings on all of you.

To the WHOLE staff at Willamette Lutheran…

I wanted you to know how much I appreciated the love, support and care you showed to my nana, Eileen Hampton.

It was a difficult transition when she moved to Willamette Lutheran about five years ago. She loved her home and life in Jefferson, Oregon so much. But at Willamette Lutheran she found a loving, amazing community and was soon happy in her new home.

Shortly after she moved into Willamette Lutheran, I moved from Portland to Seattle. It was difficult to be further away from her and I came to visit when I could. It was always difficult to leave because I loved her so much, and never felt that I had enough time with her.

Recently, I took some time to visit her when her health took a turn for the worst. It was very hard for me to see her sick like that, and eventually to have to say good-bye to her.

But, I was so comforted to know that she was surrounded by people who cared for her, checked in on her, and helped make her life happier. In the last five years I’ve been so impressed with the work you do to help the residents feel like a part of a community, to feel valued and loved. I am so grateful for everyone who really took the time to get to know my Nana and to help her in her journey.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for your support and the important work you do. Thank you for caring for my Nana and for loving her.
