The inspiration for Willamette Lutheran Retirement Community began with a group of Lutheran pastors on a local golf course who felt there was a need for a Christian community that would provide both physical and spiritual care for retired individuals. Through their dedication, diligence and faith Willamette Lutheran Homes came to be. There are 12 members on WLRC’s  Board of Directors. These volunteer members represent Lutheran Churches in our communities. Since the beginning Willamette Lutheran has offered retirement living and care to people of all faiths.  There are two chaplains on staff at Willamette Lutheran Retirement Community who serve the spiritual needs of our residents through worship services, bible studies and individual visitation. The chaplains are also available for hospital visits, memorial services, weddings, family consultations, etc. Our worship service is held in the Grace Chapel on Sundays at 3:30 p.m. and Bible study on Thursdays at 8:45 a.m.
